Another Fall Shawl

Of course, now I'm on a roll with shawls and probably will be for the next 6 months. Hope you want to see them all!

I love a gradient or an ombre, they seem to have a yarn magic all their own. As much as I love them I don't always know what to knit with them. There either isn't enough yardage to use them with another yarn or the pattern is too intricate and doesn't show the colors well enough.

Upon searching my stash I decided that this gorgeous gradient from Duren Dyeworks and this lovely bright but saturated color from Lost City Knits, combining these two into Stephen West's Holey Chevron! This was the best decision!

The body of the shawl was social knitting and easy to work on while I was at the shop. Once I had done one repeat of the edging then I was able to do that at work as well!

One of the things I'm happiest about this shawl was that it inspired a customer at the shop to start one.  She picked two gorgeous hanks of Malabrigo to knit hers in.

As always, Stephen came up with a fabulous design that looks amazing with my wardrobe and was so fun to knit! This double YO edging makes the chevron stand out and be just a little different than other designs. Can't wait to see what he comes up with in 2019!
