Stripy Socks!

Finished up a new pair of socks last night! I love them!

This slip stitch pattern isn't something new but I had never tried it before and it looks so dang cute! I'm also in love with these socks because I dyed the yarn!

Of course Andrea and I dyed it together, she is the self-striping sock yarn queen! I just get to be part of the entourage that follows along and plays with the colors. I will definitely be wearing these while it's still cool enough to wear hand knit socks.

Reading Friday Night Knit Club for my yarn shops book club and joining Ginny and Frontier Dreams this week. Happy Wednesday!

  1. How pretty. Do you start the slipped stitches as soon as the yarn colour changes or when you get to the next row?

    1. Thanks about the color! I was inspired by a dyers colorway when they didn't have it available for sale. I didn't really use a pattern, just started slip, knit, slip, knit when the color started to change. Even if it was in the middle of a row.

    1. Thanks! I have them hanging up in my room so that I can look at them a bit before I wear them:)

  5. I really have a thing for self striping sock yarn lately, this pair is such an amazing example! The pattern works so well with the stripes :)

    1. Self striping is so addictive! Just the next stripe...just the next stripe. All the sudden it's 1:30AM and you aren't asleep yet.
